Free tool
Direct download link generator
Paste a Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or Dropbox share link. You get a link that downloads the file straight away instead of opening a preview page.
This runs in your browser. The link you paste isn't sent to us or anyone else.
Before you share a direct link
- The file must be shared so the person can open it. In Google Drive, that usually means Share → General access → Anyone with the link.
- For large files, Google Drive shows a page saying it can't scan the file for viruses, with a Download anyway button.
- Google Docs, Sheets and Slides download as Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. You can also pick PDF.
- Folders can't have a direct download link. Google Drive and Dropbox download folders as .zip files from their own pages.
Need the file in another website, not a link? FilePaster copies files and folders from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and SharePoint and pastes them straight into any upload box, email or AI chat, or a folder on your computer. 7-day free trial, then $29 a year.
